Hi Tima and Judy,   Thank you so much for the hangi and show you did for us on Saturday night. This was the first time we had ever had a hangi but thought it might be interesting as we had heard from one of our guests who had attended another of your hangi’s, that they were fabulous. We were certainly not disappointed. Not only was the food fabulous, but the fact that you guys can sing as well is amazing. You are so talented, and friendly and professional. I experienced my first hangi whilst serving as a UN peacekeeper in East Timor. A hangi provides a uniquely complete dining and entertainment experience, complimented by the professional service and friendly nature of Tima and Judy Netana. We met Tima and Judy Netana in January 1988 while we were Licensee’ of the Royal Exchange Hotel in Windsor NSW.   We had several Social clubs running at the Hotel and while planning a Social event for a Fishing Club, Tima suggested a Hangi. It was so successful we dug a permanent Hangi pit in our carpark that was lined with steel and had a steel lid on it so we could cover it when not in use. Over a period of the next few years that we were there, we had regular hangi’s for all sorts of events that were always a huge success for our guests.   In 1993 we moved to Blacksmith and became Licensee’ of the New Orana Hotel. Tima and Judy traveled up to Blacksmith with a full hake group and cooked another delicious hangi and gave us a full floor show as well as a band. It was a fantastic evening and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves.   They are so friendly and so professional I would recommend them to anybody looking for something extra.   Gayle Turton Licensee

 

Judy and Tima   I want to thank you so much for all your efforts on Saturday - it was just great. The food was wonderful and everyone enjoyed themselves despite rain, storms and excess water. Attached photos with Tima and his "girls" - I am sure they will be talking about this for ages. And Judy the comments that have been made about your "poi hands" how flexible and how good you were are coming in too.  But must admit Tima was the star.  Many had not actually seen a Haka up so close me thinks.
