Do you cook the Hangi under the ground
No. Unfortunately, due to council restrictions and fire restrictions, we are unable to dig holes in the ground and do the burn off as in a traditional hangi. However, with our "Above Ground Hole" we are able to duplicate the same unique taste and flavour that is Hangi.
Do you cook the food on sight?
Yes. We arrive 5 hours before the service time. The hangi takes an hour to set up, and then 4 hours to cook and prepare for serving.The salads are prepared fresh on site. We erect a small marquee to serve under which requires approx a 2 square metre space.
Can you cook the Hangi in a small area?
Yes. We only need a 2 metre square area for the actual hangi, and then an area for set up of tables for serving the food.
Will you travel out of Sydney metro?
Yes. We will charge a travel fee dependant on the distance we need to travel. This is agreed upon at the time of booking.
